Dr. François Bissonnette is Director of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility for the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Montreal. He is an associate clinical professor and winner of the Van Campenhout award for the quality of his teaching.
Graduating in medicine from the University of Montreal in 1980, he completed his specialty training in obstetrics and gynecology and obtained certification of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada in 1985. Later, he continued his training in reproductive endocrinology and infertility at the University of Louisville, Kentucky.
Dr. Bissonnette was President of the Canadian Fertility and Andrology Society (CFAS) in 2009 and is responsible for the Canadian Assisted Reproductive Technologies Registry for in vitro fertilization activities (CARTR).Author and co-author of several publications, he supervises many research projects and directs doctoral students. Dr. Bissonnette is a member of several Professional associations. He is currently president of the Quebec Society of Fertlity and Andrology and the Quebec Association of Fertologues.
Dr. Bissonnette is one of the five founding members of the clinique ovo in 2003.
