Physician and engineer, Dr. Sylvain Ménard made his first studies in engineering at Laval University and then completed his medical degree at the University of Sherbrooke in 2004.
Subsequently he completed his residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the University of Sherbrooke and received his certification from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons (RCPSC) in 2009.
From 2009 to 2011, Dr. Ménard has completed a fellowship in Gynecologic Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility (GREI) at the University of Montreal. In 2011, he was part of the first cohort to pass the RCPSC examination of this sub-specialty and he became one of the first doctors to obtain the official title of the Royal College in this sub-specialty (GREI).
Since 2011, Dr. Ménard is a doctor at the CHUM and assistant professor in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Montreal. He focuses on treatment of infertility in Assisted Reproduction Clinic of the CHUM and at clinique ovo. In both settings, he is actively involved in research and training of residents and fellows at the University of Montreal.
