Dr. Bertrand is a clinical psychologist and member of the Order of Psychologists of Quebec and joined the OVO clinic team in 2021. She has several years of experience in many practice settings and with diverse clienteles. Holder of a doctorate in psychology (D.Ps.) from the University of Sherbrooke, she first worked with children, adolescents and their families before specializing in fertility and perinatal care.
What she is most passionate about is being able to accompany women and men through an important moment in their lives and supporting them in this often difficult journey in the most delicate and respectful way possible. Dr. Bertrand also conducts psychological assessment and pre-treatment counseling meetings with patients who use gamete donation as part of their medically assisted procreation treatments.
Whether to support future parents in their choice of donors, to guide them in how to reveal their origins to the child or to support men and women experiencing distress or greif during fertility treatments, Marie-Hélène Bertrand welcomes each patient in a safe, empathetic and warm therapeutic space.
